How hard is it to learn to play the Mandolin?
I currently only play the Irish flute, Irish whistle, and Bodhran drum, but I'd like to learn how to play a stringed instrument. I usually learn how to play music by ear, but was wondering how hard the mandolin is to play?
If you do not already play a stringed instrument than mandolin can be rather difficult. I suggest learning to play the acoustic guitar first. This will give you a strong background for learning to play mandolin and other string instruments.
