My top hi hat cymbal is well?
Well I was practicing my drums when I let go of the pedal and the top hi hat doesn't want to open...it just stays there, on the bottom cymbal. What do I do to fix it?!?!?!
First check the knob used to adjust how wide the hi-hats are open when the pedal is up. It essentially positions the hi-hat on the rod that moves down and up when pressing down on the pedal. If that is loose, the rod is just sliding up and down that lever. If thats not the problem, check the plastic grommet on the underside of the top cymbal. Sometimes that come loose as well, so that the tightening the turn knob above the top cymbal doesn't really do anything.
