A way to silence my drums/cymbals? Acoustic?
Hi, My drums are not really that loud, however my cymbals are very loud. Does anyone know if there is a way to silence the cymbals/drums more? I also want to hear my song on my mp3 player while playing the drums. I am willing to spend more money for something that can help this problem.
Well, after so many years in the studio and with insulated booths, we still have to make adjustments sometimes. For the cymbals, put a strip of masking tape under the cymbals. This will cut the sound but not the quality. As for the drums themselves, you can also add a few strips of tape on the underskin. That will cut the overtones as well.
