Recording Drums with ApexDP6 - Deluxe Drum Pack.?
I got the ApexDP6 - Deluxe Drum Pack for Christmas. It includes 1x Apex325, 3x Apex326, and 2x Apex190 Condenser Mics. It only includes the mics, and clips for the snare and tom-tom clips, what cables do I plug into the mics, and what mixer will i need? If you could use links to the Long&McQuade website, thatd be great, thanks!
Any mixer should do. I've touched on the subject, and I think you need a preamp (what ever that is) Actually, I remember I mic'ed my drums for a private performance a while ago, we rented some [crappy] equipment from long and mcquade, and when we had problems we called them and they explained everything. The guys and long and mcquade are very knowledgeable about this, you could just go in and ask them. Don't forget to bring the microphones, and possible one of your drums (I would say the snare) to get an optimal micing situation.
