ear question dealin with ear piercing?
ok well i ahve had basic dimoands in my ears yes they were fake,they were from clairse but that anit the problem and this was in my third hole and i just took them out to change them to a gold hoop pair when i noticed they were wide so jsut to see i took one of my clean barrbells and put it through it went it was like a 16 gauge barbell.i am afiard to sleep with out anything my third hole so should i just put my earrins in and just take them off in the morning and when i amr eayd to elave for school put them back in?idk loli mean they dont hurt they are just gaped and gross lol even tho i have my first hole strechted lol

Earrings that Claire's uses to pierce are on the range of an 18g, so your ear lobe should easily accept a 16g barbell once they are healed. There is nothing unusual about the jewlery going in there without a problem.
Your current earrings may be tugging your ears open because they are a little heavy or because they get pulled down in your sleep. If this isnt the case, they can rest too snugly against the front of your ear if you wear your backs too tight. If the front of the studs are small enough they can start to sink into your ear a bit. Either of these processes can stretch your piercing.
If you'd like the third holes to shrink, get some super light weight studs and put them in place. They will likely be a little smaller gauge than the ones you started with and the lack of weight will keep them from pulling on your piercings. Don't clamp them down too tightly so they don't burrow into your ear.
If they don't improve with this technique, speak to a local body piercer and show them both your ears and earrings. Explain the problem and see if they have any suggestions.
