What's The Best Type of Drum(s) To Use?
I'm buying my first drum set by the end of this year. I've never had a drum set before, and I think the best one to choose is the Basic Good Quality Beginners Drum Set. This drum set includes:
-22-inch Bass Drum
-14-inch Snare Drum
-Two 2-inch Rack Tom-toms
-16-inch Floor Tom
-Set of Three to Four cymbals
-Required Hardware: Stands, Bass Pedal, Lugs, Hoops, Tension Rods, Tom Mounts, Drum Stands, Drum Racks, etc.
-Adjustable Stool/Throne
-Drumsticks
-Brushes

This whole drum set ranges from a price of $1,500-$3,000.
I am not sure what your pricing is in (wherever you stay)
But to be honest, you need to first establish what music it is that you are going to play.
For example:
If its jazz. You will need a lighter more "perky" bass drum, because you are going to be feathering alot. However seeing that it is your first drumset, I take it, you dont have too much experiance yet?
I am guessing you are going to mostly play rock (well atleast for now)
Tama, is allways a good set to start on. I started on a sonor drum set wich is also a great kit. Currently I am playing on a yamaha, also a beautifull kit.
Buying the "best" brand is not necesarily the best ID because establishing what the "best" is might be difficult, especially if you dont know what style your going to specialize in later.
For the first part leave the brushes out... your not going to need them for a while. Hardware is different tho. Dont go second best. Get yourself proper gibraltar equipment and it will last you a lifetime.
