I don't mean just a simple melody that you can hum, I can create entire works o and pieces inside my head and it sounds really good. I can never cone up with vocals on the fly, but I can do everything else from synths, drums, pads, bass, you name it. The only problem is that I usually forget 95% of the stuff I come up with. Why is that? And is what I do normal? This also happens sometimes in my dreams and I'll wake up with this fantastic song in my head that i've never heard before. If it makes any difference, I've been composing original music for 5 years. Most of the songs I come up with usually sound really epic and euphoric and have a trance/electronic nature. (the same type of music I create). And once again, I can create every single detail of a song on the fly in my head except vocals. And this ocassionaly happens in dreams. Except my dreams consist of this music I've never heard composed on earth and I can never recreate the songs I dream of. can anyone explain this?
