Here's a tip that you can use to get better results from your article marketing. Primarily, this technique is about getting better syndication for your articles. The point of submitting to a directory is not really to get the link from the directory itself, but more so to get other webmasters to see your article so that they publish it on their site which in turn sends traffic to your site and gets you better links because they're from non-directory websites.



There are a couple strategies you can use to better your chances of getting syndicated. Number one, write longer content. Think about it like you are a webmaster, would you really want to syndicate a bunch of 450 word articles, or would you rather grab an article that is 1,000 words long and put it as a post? A lot of experts agree that writing longer content is the most important part to being better syndicated.

Another strategy is to not write ads. A lot of directories like Ezine where is you would primarily be syndicated from, don't really allow promotional writing in the first place, but just be careful that you're not overly promotional, and this also goes for your resource box. Keep it casual, write informational articles. Also, write well. Don't put sloppy content out on the directories because no one is going to syndicate that.

Finally, find out who is syndicating your content. After you have a couple of articles published, copy and paste the first sentence into Google inside of quotes. What this is going to do is search for any source that has been indexed by Google that is using your article. Then you find out which webmasters have published your content and you can use their contact form or whatever they have available to contact them and say, "hey thanks for syndicating my content". Then you can tell them when you publish articles to the directories.

Or even better, you can create your own syndication ring. You can grab these webmasters and send them your content early. Give them a week before you publish on the directories and you'll just get some guaranteed publishing from your articles everytime.
