I have this wooden percussion instrument. It's played by 2 mallets; the 11 "bars" (actually look more like bamboo sections) go from lowest pitch closest to you to highest pitch furthest from you. I had to assemble the stand myself, it was referred to in the instructions as a "dancing girl". There is one central, hollow pipe that's vertical, and protruding from the bottom are three legs that hold it up. From the top are three more protrusions (one in back and two in front) that hold up the bars, which are all tied together with string. The string is what is tied onto these three protrusions. The scale is not American; the instrument is from China. It's about 8 inches tall in front, 16 in back. On the box it came in there were mostly Chinese characters, but in the Roman letters the word "trung" (or something similarly pronounced) was repeated a lot. I don't know if that's the name. Does anyone know?
